5-8 Vocal Concert

I had the privilage to sit and listen to the 5-8 vocal concert and man oh man was it a good one. The 5th grade started the concert off with the song ”In Praise of Music” by Jerry Estes. They continued and sang 4 more songs ending with “Consider Yourself” which is a song from the musical Oliver. The highlight of the 6th grade portion of the concert was when they sang a Disney Classics Medley which included popular Disney movie songs. They were “Be Our Guest”, “The Bare Necessities”, “I Wan’na Be Like You”, “A Spoonful of Sugar”, and “Step In Time.” The 7th and 8th grade chior sang together and did an awesome job. A crowd favorite was “Jesus, Take the Weel.” Soloists Sara and Allison did an outstanding job and the audience responded! Once again Mrs. Carroll, Mrs. Schneider, and Ms. Thies did an outstanding job directing the chiors. Let’s not forget Mrs. Lemons and Mrs. Lawson and their huge contribution to the chiors. Their willingness to take time to accompany the chiors is very much appreciated and they do a great job!
