Rocky Balboa

images3.jpgThe movie Rocky Balboa that was just recently released on dvd is surprisingly a weak movie. I say that just because of the high standards that his previous movies have set. In this movie, Sylvester Stallone plays a boxer who is the reigning heavy weight champion of the world. He is about 60 in this movie and is willing to put his life back on the line. His son, a business man, is not fond of his father’s wacky idea of getting back into the ring.

In this movie Rocky is just out to prove that he is not a washed up has been. Mason Dixon is the current heavyweight titleholder and everyone is comparing Mason to Rocky. Rocky doesn’t think that he should be compared to him but the world seems to think differently.

If you have seen all the previous Rocky movies than you would understand that this movie was a little on the weak side of things. Don’t get me wrong, the movie has a great plot and everything its just that sylvestor is not as young and energetic, quick, and smooth as he was in his previous films.

For those of you that have not seen any of the Rocky films, i would highly recomend this movie just because its easy to catch on to. What im saying is that the movie sort of has it’s own plot and everything.

This is Joey Buman signing off. HCHS news.
