“The Undefeated Season”

This year the HCMS Jazz band did the unthinkable. They won every contest that they entered. There were 7 contests. They played four songs; 1)Groove Blues, 2)A Warm Fuzy, 3)Blue Flame, 4)Bye-Bye Blackbird. They were directed by Steve Britt. The solos for the first song are Nate Mages (8th grade Lead Trumpt), Nick Hadfield (8th grade Lead Trombone), Michael Jacquard ( 8th grade Tenor Sax), Laura Garrett (7th grade Alto Sax), Dylan Greer (8th grade Drum Set). For the second song the solo features Nick Hadfield. The third song’s soloists are Makalya Leinen (7th grade Bass Guitar), Jenny Bjoin (7th grade Trumpt), Ellen Klitgaard (8th grade Lead Alto Sax). And the final song’s soloists are Nate Mages and Nick Hadfield. For this they had a fun season, looked good, and sounded quite well all at once. Good job Cyclones for carring on the tradtion!
