THE WHOLE TEN YARDS

Despite the wild weather we are going through, Mr. Angel and the Harlan Community High School Girls Golf are in full swing! I sat down with the busy dude, and asked about his hopes for this golf season.

Q) How many girls are out this year?

A) 23 8 are seniors.

Q) What are some of the major goals for the team this year?

A) To develop a competitive attitude in the game of golf, improve through out the season, and possibly make state.

Q) As the seniors are leaving, what can we expect from the under classmen?

A) To compete for the top varsity spots. And hopefully give the seniors a “run for their money”.

Q) What does a regular practice involve?

A) Instruction, play the courses, learning rules, putting around, and discussing the previous game.

Q) What kind of changes do you expect to see from last year?

A) (small laugh) everyone making near par score! Ok seriously, I just really expect to see improvement.

Q) Who is your favorite golfer of all time? PGA, LPGA, HCHS?

A) Hmm Tiger Woods of course! He is a great role model for young adults. And I love how he chips the ball. LPGA: probably Michelle Wie, she is a lovely gal, that has great spirit.
