On Saturday, April 28, Myrtue Medical Center held their annual Kids Festival at the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium. Children preschool age through fifth grade were welcome to join in the activities. At the festival the kids had the opportunity to sit inside a helicopter, police car, ambulance, fire truck, and school bus. As well as being able to sit in these emergency vehicles, the children also were welcome to view many booths and participate in various activities. One of these activities was creating a photo ID for the children. While participating in activities, the children learned about safety and health. Many mascots for various booths were roaming around and talking with the kids about the topic of their specific booth. While observing this festival, it seemed like the kids had a lot of fun and the festival was a huge success.
