Sun Bears

BubbleShare: Share photos - Thanksgivingtime!

The Sun Bear Is the smallest bear in the world and it faces extinction because of it's declining population. Sun Bears only weigh between 90 and 130 pounds and are only about four feet tall when standing on it's hind legs. The sun bears habitat is being destroyed because of deforestation which is adding to the decline of the sun bear population which is consisting of now only about 10,000 bears in Southeast Asia.
No animal should ever be faced with extinction, but more than just the Sun Bears are faced with the problem of extinction, and we need to do something to make sure that no species is wiped from the face of the earth.
