Tips for preparing for semester test

It's hard to believe but the first semester is nearing an end, and that brings some big things into the picture. SEMESTER TEST!!! Aaahhh. Well after being in our last year of high school we are pretty much pros at them so we are going to give you some helpful tips.
1. In preparation for your test make sure you get a goodnights rest so you wake up full of energy and ready to concentrate. In order to get a goodnights sleepit is recommended that you get at least 8 hours of sleep.

2. Next, after waking up and before you go to school, you need to eat a nice, big, and hearty breakfast. It is very hard to concentrate on an empty stomach, so make sure you fill up. You want to make sure you eat a healthy breakfast though, such as pancakes, eggs, big bowl of cereal, oatmeal, waffles, etc. You get the picture. But make sure you DO eat breakfast because that plays a major part of your day and how it will end up.

3. Studying. Mostly all teachers give you test information and what is all going to be on there for you to know in order to do well on the semester test. So, when you start getting the information start looking it over daily whenever you get the chance. The more you look it over, the more it helps you memorize this information. Study a couple weeks prior if you can, then that goes into your long term memory and will be even easier to remember.

4. Studying. Some methods of studying that students use these days are study groups where friends get together and all exchange their information and review for test together. Another way to help study is to make flash cards or information cards that you can flip through and help you memorize more easily. Also, sometimes your teacher will even quiz you, and you can always ask them questions if you do not remember or know something.

5. Last but not least is concentrating on your work. From experience i know that all your surroundings in a classroom are a distraction. When taking your test, keep your eyes on your paper. Also, make sure you are taking you time, you have a whole hour. Concentrate on the questions and read them over and over if you are struggling or if you just want to make sure you remember everything for that question. You go to school for you and how you do in school is going to have an impact on your life, not your the kid that sits next to you. So do your own work and concentrate hard.

Good luck on your tests everyone!
