Jel Information-You can make a DIFFERENCE!!

I, Joe Cudd and Kody Kline interveiwed Mrs. Rasmussen about JEL and what the orginization is like. Here are some of the questions we asked.




Q1-What purpose does JEL have, and what is it?



-A- Just Eliminate Lies is a national organization that promotes tobacco use prevention.



Q2-Who came up with the idea?



-A- The Iowa legislature.



Q3-Why don't you want adults smoking at the games if the game is outside and seems unharmful?



-A- We don't want it at school related activities because its a bad influence on the students, there are many people at games and we don't want kids to breathe in second hand smoke?



Q4- Is it worth it? Fun?



-A- Yes its a lot of fun and worth it. Some activities we do are Kick butts day, when we pick up cigarette butts in the parking lots of the school-twice a year-, and Red Ribbon Week Activities.



Q5- Who are the president and the VP?



-A- Well the president is Jacquiel Enckson and the VP is Jenny Henscheid also our secratary is Stephanie Wingert.



Q-Who are your sponsers?



-A-Mrs. Rasmussen and Mrs. Osborn.



Q6- Who mostly runs JEL?



-A-It is a student run organization



Q7- How many members have you managed to recruit so far?



-A- About forty members?
