JEL, What its about and how you can make a difference

This is Cudd1 and Kody1 here for HCHS news interviewing Mrs. Rasmussen on JEL.

Q1-What does JEL mean?

A- JEL means Just Eliminate Lies.

Q2- What is it?

A- Its a national organization that promotes tobacco use prevention.

Q3-Whats the purpose of JEL?

A-Its a campaign to help kids understand about drugs through music assemblies.

Q4-What does JEL hope to "Eliminate"?

A-What we hope to get out of this organization is to prohibit teachers from smoking out side of the school during they're breaks and to prohibit smoking at all school related events.

Q5-Why?

A-We think it is a bad influence to kids and students and it prevents second hand smoking too.

Q6- Why tobbacco?

A- Many people ask this question and our answer, most of the time, comes a shock to people. Tobacco companies sell a produckt that kills pre people thatn AIDS, murders, suisides, fire, drugs, alcohal, and car creashes.......COMBINED!

Q7- So who are the leaders of JEL in this school?\

A- The president is Jacqie Erickson, and the VP is Jenny Henscheid, the secretary is Stephanie Wingert
