One of the main attractions for outdoorsmen and women in Iowa is hunting for pheasants in the fall. Youth season in Iowa started October 20th and ended October 21st. Usually "out of staters" come the first weeks of November. The main hunters are usually from rural Iowa. The season starts on October 28, 2007 and ends on February 12, 2008. Legal hunting hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The bag limits are three male birds per person and no female birds. Sometimes hunting is easy, and sometimes hunting is hard like the weekend these photos were taken. My dad, Tyler Klein, and I went out from eight O'clock to four O'clock. All types of things can make hunting difficult including wind, rain or snow, temperature, and farmers combining in the fields. Sometimes it is just hunting the wrong spot at the wrong time. I enjoy pheasant hunting because you never know what is going to happen with the next step. by mages1
