School Shootings

Joe Cudd Period 1

Have you ever watched the news or read the newspaper and seen that there has been another school shooting? Do you go to school and be nice to everyone you know, knowing that the next shooting could be your school?

Most school students, mainly in high school, don't stop and think about that. Most of the school shooting in the U.S happen because one kid got fed up with kids putting him down. Most of all kids think that the only way to solve a problem is by violence. I don't see why kids make fun of somebody so bad that the kid has to bring a gun to school and take care of the problem.

I think this could happen in Harlan because it could happen anywhere. Take the columbine for example, I doubt anyone would know about that school if the shooting didn't take place. If something like this would happen to any school the teachers would probably get all the students into the closest classroom and lock the door. Then they would have all the students line up against the wall not facing the door. The principle would the call the cops and wait out the shooting.

When you see a shooting on the news then some kids think that if they go kill some people at their school then they would get in the news to. It seems like people want tho copy the other people in the world. Like the Jena six, they hung nooses, the next week another college student did the same thing to a college professor.

I say we should just all get along. Its not that hard. If you dont like somebody stay away from them.
