Boy's Tennis Lose to Atlantic 1-8

The HCHS Boys varsity tennis team lost to Atlantic tonight(4-21) 1-8. "It was a struggle tonight against one of the best teams in the conference," Coach Chad Bruns said. "Cody Petersen was the the highlight of the night for us coming back from 4-7 down to win in a tiebreak. Cody struggled early but played his best tennis when he needed to." "I am also very pleased with our JV win tonight. We have a lot of good players that show a lot of promise." The Cyclones are now 2-3 on the season. The JV are now 2-1 on the season. #1 Cody Petersen defeated Evan Dusenberry 9-8(8-6)

#2 Lucas Larsen lost to Tom Leiferman 4-8

#3 Jacob Harmon lost to Taylor Petersen 3-8

#4 Mitch Gross lost to Jon Jensen 1-8

#5 Nate Pattee lost to Chris von Cleave 3-8

#6 Josh Lefeber lost to Jared Olsen 1-8

Doubles:

#1 Cody Petersen/Lucas Larsen lost to Dusenberry/Leiferman 4-8

#2 Jacob Harmon/Mitch Gross lost to Petersen/von Cleave 3-8

#3 Nate Pattee/Josh Lefeber lost to Jared Olsen 2-8


Harlan JV won 7-3 over Atlantic and are now 2-1 on the season.

JV Singles:

#1 Nate Andersen lost to Nick Hinzmann 3-6

#2 Willie Henrcih lost to Derek Tjepkes 4-6

#3 Ryan Andersen defeated Bryant Johnson 6-2

#4 Dan Ohms defeated Curtis Ullerich 6-1

#5 Rodney Bengford defeated Kyle Hansen 6-0

#6 Ryan Henrich defeated Cody Ihmen 6-2

#7 Zach Lefeber defeated Chad Olsen 6-0



JV Doubles:

The Cyclones travel to Dension Tuesday and then host Clarinda on Thursday.
