HCHS Boy's Tennis District Results

The HCHS boy's tennis team traveled to Red Oak on Thursday, May 14 to compete in the District Tennis tournament.

The highlight of the day was the play of Ryan Andersen and Nate Pattee, who placed third. In doing so, they defeated the #3 and #4 seeded teams and took the #2 seeded team to three sets. "I was very proud of how Ryan and Nate played. They were very disappointed in their Hawkeye 10 Tournament finish and wanted to prove themselves today. They definitely did that and came within four games of making State tennis," Coach Chad Bruns said.

I thought our team had a great year and we will get back four out of our six varsity players next year so we have a lot to look forward to. We will miss Ryan and Jacob alot though as they have played varsity most of their high school career. We will need some of our younger players to step up and fill their spots next year," Bruns added.
