HCHS Boy's Tennis Lose to Red Oak to Finish Season at 7-4

The HCHS boy's tennis team battled hard against perennial Hawkeye 10 tennis powerhouse Red Oak, but came up one match short losing 4-5.

"After our disappointing effort at Atlantic, I was pleased that we competed strongly with Red Oak today," Coach Chad Bruns said. "Jacob Harmon, Nate Ohms and Willy Henrich played their best tennis of the year today and they kept us in the meet up until the last match of the day."

The Cyclones travel to Shenandoah on Monday for the Hawkeye 10 Conference Tennis meet and then to Red oak on Thursday for Districts.

#5 Singles Willy Henrich won 11-10(9-7) over Dylan Anderson

#6 Singles Jacob Harmon won 10-6 over Craig White


#1 Doubles Ryan Andersen/Nate Pattee lost 5-10 to Deter/Goracke

#2 Doubles Mitch Gross/Nate Ohms lost 5-10 to Sokolnik/White

#3 Doubles Jacob Harmon/Willy Henrich won 9-7 over Updegrove/Anderson
