Homecoming Coronation/Dylan Garrison

So Homecoming was Friday October 2nd, and we did absolutely nothing in class that day because we got out at 1:30 to go to coronation. All the homecoming kings got ready in like 15 minutes, but the queens took all day doing their hair and what not. At first I didn’t think the coronation was ever going to start because all of the candidates had to wait in the library till it started and it took forever. As we waited we got our pictures taken by many parents.

After we got done with all the flashes, we headed to the auditorium. We patiently waited outside the auditorium until the introduction of the coronation was over with. As our names were called we got introduced with some pictures and personal highlights while being escorted to the stage.

There was a lot of waiting for something that only took about fifteen minutes to get through. Then the King and Queen were announced. It was Nathan Brace and Jenny Hosack.

A lot of people said it wasn’t too short or too long. Many of the people I asked about the coronation thought it was really good; they liked the music and the decorations. I myself thought it was decorated nice and I also wished that the parade wasn’t cancelled. That was really the only thing I was looking forward to was riding in the convertibles. I kinda wished that the dance would have been after the game Friday than on Saturday. There was too much waiting around on Saturday, but I thought the dance was pretty fun.
Overall Homecoming turned out better than I thought it would be.
