Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. was born september 27, 1982 and grew up in the Holygrove neighborhood of New Orleans. When Lil Wayne was eight he wrote his first rap song. At age 11 he met Bryan Williams rapper and main owner of Cash Money Record. Many don't know but before he could graduate he played tin man in the production if The Wiz. Around the age of 14 Dwayne dropped out of school but later earned his GED.
Lil wayne almost died November 1994 at the age of 12 while messing around with a gun at his house. the 9 mm went off and Lil wayne shot himself through the chest. After the incident Dwayne found a highschool sweetheart and had a kid together,but to these days Lil Wayne has become very popular with his music and all the girls that like him, that he was loosing the love he had for his sweetheart and now is going through rough times with her.
