Harlan Community Boy's Tennis Open 2015 Season with Loss to Abe Lincoln

The Harlan Community boy's tennis team opened the season with a 0-9 loss at home against a very strong Abraham Lincoln(Council Bluffs) team. The Cyclones return only one varsity player from last year, sophomore Isaac Stitz. "We are a young team that doesn't have a lot of tennis experience," Coach Chad Bruns said. "We played a very good A.L. team tonight but there are still a lot of positives we can take away from this match. I thought our #4(Reuschenberg), #5(Kaster) and #6(Plagman) players played very well tonight for their first ever competitive tennis match. They battled and stayed in their match. Our top three players just ran into some very strong players. We will continue to work hard to improve in all aspects of the game," Bruns added.

Next week, the Cyclones host St. Albert's on Monday, April 6th, travel to Thomas Jefferson on Tuesday, April 7th and host Denison on Thursday, April 9th.
