HCHS Cyclone Boy's Tennis Improve to 3-1 With Win Over Audubon

The Harlan Community Cyclones boy's tennis team traveled to Audubon on Thursday, April 13 to take on the Wheelers. The Cyclones came out on top 8-1 to improve their season to 3-1.

"This was a confidence booster going into next weeks meets against Kuemper, Glenwood and Shenandoah," Coach Chad Bruns said. "Everyone got at least one win tonight and played well. We are going to need to play very well next week. It will be challenging but we look forward to it."

The Cyclones host Kumper on Monday and then travel to Glenwood on Tuesday and Shenandoah on Thursday.

1. Brock Bruns won 8-2 over Bryce Jensen
2. Kaleb Kaster lost 8-9(5-7) to Aden Torneten
3. Jonny Cheek won 8-1 over Morgan Christensen
4. Bailey Schmitz won 8-5 over Harvard Kollbotn
5. Lucas Schmitz won 8-1 over Landon Frahm
6. Mitchell Rueschenberg won 8-1 over David Webb

Varsity Doubles Scores:

1. Brock Bruns/Bailey Schmitz won 8-4 over Jensen/Torneten
2. Kaleb Kaster/Jonny Cheek won 8-3 over Christensen/Kollbotn
3. Lucas Schmitz/Mitchell Rueschenberg won 8-2 Webb/Frahm


JV won the meet 2-0 and are now 2-2 on the year.

2. Patrick Fah won 6-0 over Gage Synder
