Coach's Comments:

I was very happy with how Brock played today. Getting fourth place as a freshmen was a positive way to end the season for him. He had been struggling a bit lately and I thought he really picked up his game in his first two matches. If he continues to work hard, Brock has a good future in high school tennis.

Bailey started extremely slow losing the first set 0-6. Bailey bounced back by winning the second set 6-3. He was up 2-1 in the third set when his opponent, Luke Hicks, picked up his game and played like he did in the first set. Bailey's had a good season and want to thank him for his positivity and hard work the last two years.

Kaleb and Jonny played a very good first round match but unfortunately, had to play the top seeded team from Denison in the second round. Kaleb and Jonny started the season slowly but really picked up their game the last couple of weeks. Kaleb has had a great career, playing varsity all four years. He will be greatly missed. Jonny will be a very important part of our success next year.

Lucas and Mitchell just couldn't get their game going. They were down 0-4 in the first set before coming back 3-4 but then lost the next to games to lose the set. In the second set, they took the lead at 5-4 but then lost the next three games to lose 5-7. Lucas has been as big addition to the varsity team this year and has done very well at the bottom of our lineup. As a Freshmen, Mitchell will be with us awhile so I look forward to his continued improvement into next year.
