Coach's Comments

While we didn't meet our team goal of being in the top five, I was very happy with the play of Bailey Schmitz at #2 singles and the team of Kaleb Kaster and Jonny Cheek at #1 doubles. Bailey played his best tennis of the season finishing in 4th place and beating the #3 seed  in the process in a tiebreaker. Bailey hit well and served well and just played smart all day long in the high winds.

Kaleb and Jonny ended up getting 5th place but went 4-1 on the day and played great. They beat a good Glenwood team twice, 8-2 and 8-1 and also had a couple of tight wins over Red Oak and Shenandoah. The only tram they lost to was the eventual champion from Creston.
