HCHS Boy's Tennis Defeat AL 6-3

KNOD Radio Report:

The HCHS boy's tennis team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 6-3 win over Council Bluffs Abe Lincoln. "Everyone played well today against a team that we hadn't beaten for a couple of years", Coach Chad Bruns said. "It was a cold and windy day but everyone looked past that and came up with some big wins today. Their top two players were very good players so our depth really came through today to help win the meet for us".

"Nate O., Nate P., Jacob and Willie all played great singles matches and put us up 4-2 after singles. We only had to win one doubles match to win the meet. We ended up winning two of three. I was very happy with Ryan and Nate P. doubles match as they battled back from being down early to win 8-6." Our players work on doubles every practice so it really payed off today ," Bruns added.
