HCHS Boy's Tennis Loses to Denison

The Cyclones boy's tennis team opened the 2012 season with a 2-7 loss at Denison. The highlight of the meet were wins at #1 and #2 singles, Seniors Nate Ohms and Nick Petsche

"I was quite pleased with the play of Nate and Nick in singles today," Coach Chad Bruns said. "We struggled everywhere else. We are an inexperienced team outside of the top three so we just need to keep our heads up and keep improving as the season goes on."

Varsity Singles:

1. Nate Ohms defeated Riley Sondag 10-3
2. Nick Petsche defeated Nathan Fastje 10-4
3. Riley Finn lost to Sam Wolf 3-10
4. Trey Lansman lost to Joshua Tucker 2-10
5. Alex Schaben lost to TJ Pauley 0-10
6. Keenan Finn lost to Ben Claypool 0-10

Varsity Doubles:

1. Ohms/R. Finn lost to Sondag/Pauley 6-10
2. Petsche/Lansman lost to Wolf/Claypool 3-10
3. Schaben/K. Finn lost to Fastje/Tucker 2-10


JV Singles:

1. Austin Euchner lost to Mitch Kinsey 2-8
2. Jordan Good lost to Spencer Pauley 6-8
3. Matt Stessman defeated Justin Myers 8-6
4. Josh Buman lost to Tanner Bremser 3-8
5. Joey Hanson lost to Raphael Ayala 1-8
6. Zach Wingert lost to Bobby Overton 1-8
7. Preston Burris lost to Jesse Ayala 2-8
