2012 Distrcit Tennis Results

The HCHS boy's tennis team tied Glenwood for 3rd place at the District Tennis Tournament held in Red Oak on Thursday, May 10. Due to the tie, Glenwood moves on to Team Sub-State due to the fact that they beat Harlan head to head 6-3 earlier this season. I was very pleased with our team's performance today," Coach Chad Bruns said. "We have had our ups and downs this season so to finish as well as we did at both the Hawkeye 10 and District Tennis Tournament is just a great way to end the season."

Nate Ohms will be making his second straight appearance at the State Tennis Tournament getting second place, losing to Red Oak's Pete Walker. "I want to congratulate Nate on an outstanding season and career", Coach Bruns added. Making State is an outstanding reward for all the work he has put in over his career. I also want congratulate seniors Nick Petsche and Riley Finn for having outstanding years this season, especially in singles. I also want to thank the other seniors on the team, Alex Schaben, Austin Euchner and Matt Stessman, for their contributions to the team over the years as well."
