HCHS Boy's Tennis Loses to Carroll Kuemper 1-8

They Harlan Community boy's tennis team lost to Carroll Kuemper 1-8 in Harlan on Monday, April 21.  "Keumper is a very good team and we really struggled in our singles matches today," Coach Chad Bruns said. "I was very pleased with our improvement in our doubles play today. Derek Leinen and Josh Buman played extremely well in their 10-1 win and I thought that Trey and Keenan as well as Jordan and Gabe played well despite their losses." The Cyclones are now 3-4 on the year.

The Cyclones travel to Glenwood on Tuesday, April 22 and to Shenandoah on Thursday, April 24.

Singles:

#1. Trey Lansman lost 1-10 to Robby Steffes

#2. Keenan Finn lost 2-10 to Mitchell Behrens

#3. Jordan Good lost 6-10 to Matthew Irlbeck

#4. Gabe Ferry lost 1-10 to Brian Ricke

#5. Derek Leinen lost 2-10 to Tyler Schroeder

#6. Josh Buman lost 2-10 to Joseph Mohr

Doubles:

#1. Lansman/Finn lost 6-10 to Steffes/Behrens

#2. Ferry/Good lost 9-11 to Ricke/Schroeder

#3. Buman/Leinen won 10-1 over Irlbeck/Dentlinger


JV Doubles:

#1. Joey Hanson/Zach Wingert won 8-6 over Matt Dentlinger/CollinVetter

#2. Wil Beach/Mark Douget lost 1-8 to Evan Gray/Blake Eischeid

-Joey Hanson/Zach Wingert won 8-6 over Justin Thooft/Andrew Boell

-Wil Beach/Mark Douget lost 4-8 to Joe Dickman/Jack Van Erdwyk
