HCHS Boy's Lose to Atlantic



The HCHS boy's tennis team traveled to Atlantic on Monday, April 27 to take on the Trojans. The Cyclones ended up losing the meet 1-8 with Alec Plagman, the #6 seed, getting the lone victory.

The Cyclones are now 2-6 on the season. The Cyclones travel to Clarinda on Thursday, April 30 and host Denison on Friday, May 1.

#1: Isaac Stitz lost 3-10 to Nick Podhajsky

#2: Josh Cheek lost 3-10 to Grand Podhajsky

#3: Nolan Heese lost 3-10 to Ben Parker

#4: Michael Rueschenberg lost 5-10 to Kyle Krueger

#5: Kaleb Kaster lost 1-10 to Cooper McDermott

#6: Alec Plagman won 11-10(7-1) over Luke Hohenberger


Varsity Doubles Scores:

#1: Stitz/Cheek lost 4-10 to N. Podhajsky/Parker

#2: Heese/Rueschenberg lost 7-10 to G. Podhajsky/McDermott

#3: Kaster/Plagman lost 8-10 Krueger/Hohenberger




JV Singles:

Bryan Hanson lost 1-6 to Cameron Steffens and also lost 1-6 to Brody Lee


JV Doubles:

#1 Rivera/Beach lost 1-6 to Stuart/Williams, won 6-3 over Somers/Stinn, and won 6-0 over Russell/Steffens

#2  Mark Douget/Joey Fields lost 3-6 to Flory/Redler and lost 1-6 to Petersen/McLean
