HCHS Boy's Tennis Lose to Clarinda



The HCHS boy's tennis team traveled to Clarinda on Thursday, April 30 to take on the Cardinals. The Cyclones ended up losing the meet 3-6. Alec Plagman, the #6 seed, got the only victory in singles for the Cyclones, winning 10-1. "I am very pleased with Alex's performance today," Coach Bruns said. Alex has been working on being a little more aggressive at times and that showed tonight."

The Cyclones fared better in doubles winning two of the three matches. "We changed up our doubles lineup today as we are preparing for the Conference and District tournaments coming up soon," Bruns added. "I was happy to see Isaac and Alec win at #2 doubles and Michael and Kaleb win at #3 doubles. We will stick with these doubles teams the rest of the year and see how it goes."

The Cyclones are now 2-7 on the season. The Cyclones host Denison on Friday, May 1, travel to Thomas Jefferson on Monday, May 4 and end the regular season on Thursday, May 7 at Red Oak.

JV Singles:

Eric Rivera won 8-0 over Dylan Warrick
