HCHS Boy's Tennis Defeat Shenandoah 6-3

The HCHS boy's tennis team traveled to Shenandoah on Thursday, April 21st to take on the Mustangs. The Cyclones won 6-3 to improve to 4-4 on the year.

"It was a hard fought win today," Coach Chad Bruns said. "I thought our guys really stepped up and played well. Everyone helped us win today so it was a total team effort. I think the match that made the big difference in the meet was Michael's win. He was down most of the match but at 7-7 won three straight games to win the match. It was a back and forth match that should really boost Michael's confidence."

"I also think that Josh Cheek is playing extremely well in both singles and doubles," Bruns added. He is hitting with a lot of confidence and it's really showing in his matches."

Next week the Cyclones host Atlantic on Monday, April 25, Carroll Kuemper on Tuesday, April 26 and Clarinda on Thursday, April 28.
