HCHS Boy's Tennis Defeat Atlantic 8-1

The HCHS boy's tennis team hosted the Atlantic Trojans on Monday, April 25 and won the meet 8-1. The Cyclones are now 5-4 on the season.

"I would have to say that this is the best that we have played this year so far," Coach Chad Bruns said. "Atlantic is a good team and beating them 8-1 just shows how well we played." The Cyclones clinched the meet after winning five of the six singles matches. "It always makes the doubles more relaxing to watch when we have the meet won after singles," Bruns added. "I told the guys it was nice to have the win but the night would be disappointing if we didn't play well in doubles, so it was great to see us win all the doubles matches. I thought the #1 and #2 doubles matches were excellent matches and a lot of fun to watch. Winning both of those matches, along with Josh and Kaleb at #3 doubles, was a great confidence booster as we look to finish the season strong."

The Cyclones host Carroll Kuemper on Tuesday, April 26th and Clarinda on Thursday, April 28th. The regular season ends at home against Red Oak on Thursday, May 5th.
